I was thinking

I was watching the Nickleback music video for Never Gonna Be Alone and it got me thinking.

There is going to be a time when your going to die. Maybe that moment comes fast and is unexpected maybe you've lived your life well and is good. You just have to live your life like it's the last day, maybe not going crazy trying to climb the Eiffle Tower, but, you know, try to live your life to the fullest.

The music video hilights the most important parts of a life; when you're a kid learning how to ride your bike, to a girl's first date with her boyfriend, to graduation and finally a girl getting married to her husband.

It's the same girl throughout the video. It shows those four things backwards and her father is there the whole time. Then it shows the father's funeral when the girl is still pretty small. Then it goes back through the events showing the father as a "spirit" that eventually disappears in the end leaving the spot empty.

This got me thinking about life in general, and many things I wouldn't be happy to leave.

Random Excerp

I know Monday is Random Excerpt day, but I thought: Hey, I've never done the schedule before and Saturday is depends so why not? So here it is your random excerpt of the day! This book is published by Scholastic and is written by Rick Yancey

"Where am I going?" I asked.
"Where do you think?" the guy behind me crackled. I guessed he was saying I was going to my grave or to hell, probably to hell for all the people dead because of me.
Benacio said, "Think carefully about what you are doing. I do not wish to kill you."
"Shut up," the man sitting behind him said.
"There is still time," Benacio said. "If you repent now heaven may still recieve you."

Can anyone guess what book it is?

Try guessing, answer will be in tomorrow's post :DD

Twilight

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer LITTLE BROWN

Book One

About three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't kno how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

In the first book of the TWILIGHT SAGA, internationally bestselling author Stephenie Meyer intoduces Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, a pair of star-crossed lovers whose forbidden relationship ripens against the backdrop of a small-town suspicion and a mysterious coven of vampires. This is a love story with a bite.

This book is a one hit wonder, in my perspective.

At first you go crazy about it. Then slowly it dies out.

This book is a good novel for those who are just starting to like vampires and a thirsting -no pun intended- for something vampire-y to read.

It's kind of wierd that Bella and Edward sort of just met and they're saying they'll be together forever. It's like if I were to meet a really hot guy in the next thirty seconds and me saying that I love him and we'll be together forever. It wouldn't make sense.

Bella Swan isn't a very strong character in my view. She tries to hide herself. When she first got to Forks, the first time she met Edward... She relies on him a little to much. She's waay too dependant.

Edward is every girl's dream guy. The perfect hair, the perfect personality, the perfect smile, the perfect everything. Or is it just too perfect? There is nothing wrong with him. He's the perfect person to tell your feelings to, to be with. If you think about it, in a way, he is just too perfect. He sets the standards waay too high for any guy who has a chance. Girls will be looking for thier "Edward Cullen" and they'll wait forever to see that he doesn't exsist.

Let's face it. Any guy that girl loves and treats her right will be anyone's Edward Cullen.

I think I made my point :D

The Lightning Thief

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I'm not going to review the rest of the books unless there is a movie. That way I can compare xD
The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's lightning bolt has been stolen and Percy is the prime suspect.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of a betraying friend; and unfavel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

It's the start of twelve-year-old Percy Jackson's adventures. Percy and his friend Grover's story begins when they are at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to learn about Greek gods. When his teacher Mrs. Dodds calls him to "chat" after he "pushed" Nancy Bobofit his life changes. Mrs. Dodds changes into a Greek mythology monster. During this Mr. Brunner, his latin teacher, gives him a pen or more commonly known as Riptide. From there he stricks Mrs. Dodds who turns into golden dust.

His mother sends him to Camp Half-blood there he meets Annabeth and Luke and learns he is the son of one of the Big Three. He is accused of stealing Zeus's lighting bolt. He and his friends Grover (the stayr) and Annabeth try to beat the time limit.

Now for the movie.

SPOILER

I can't believe they messed up the Lightning Thief!

Ok, first of all, they didn't elaborate on the whole camp and how he found out he was son of Poseidon. They just told him and went on their happy happy joy joy selves. Then, they say to find pearls which are originally given to him by his father.

Annabeth's hair is straight and brown not curly and blond! They didn't even try to make it curly.

Grover had crutches.

They brought in the Hydra...they didn't fight they Hydra. They didn't even go to Tennessee.

Then they didn't even introduce Clarise and Ares! They are major characters in future books.

They exchanged the Ares fight with the Luke fight. That doesn't happen until the Fourth or Fifth book!

They didn't have their own styles they all look like Spartan....-_-

SPOILER OVER I THINK

I love the book absoultely despised the movie!

Wicked Lovely

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

This story is about a girl named Aislinn that has the Sight which means she can see the invisible faeries that walk her city's streets. She has lived by three rules:

Rule #3 Don't stare at invisible faeries

Rule #2 Don't speak to invisible faeries

Rule #1 Don't ever attract their attention

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

This book is absolutely AMAZING and a real page turner. I couldn't put the book down and if I did I was forced to. I will say there are two teams that are going on here; Team Keenan and Team Seth.

Ever since I started the book I will definately hopefully always be Team Seth. (SPOILER) He's completely amazing in everyway when Keenan reminds me of a stalker. He follows Aislinn to school for crying out loud! He is way too persistant. Sure, he's the Summer King with bound powers and has to find the Summer Queen in order to regain all of them. Still, that doesn't give him any right to be a stalker...(SPOILER OVER)

Sorry.. Anyway, the captivating descriptions and inner conflict of Aislinn, Keenan and Donia make the story the way it is. I give props to Melissa Marr :DD
