Review:
From Chapter 1 it starts off mysterious. Sophie, a worker at the coffee shop across from where her twin brother works, sees some mysterious people walk in. It switches to Josh's point of view, Sophie's twin, and you see what's going on in there. These men are after a book. Not just any old book though. The book that Nick Fleming has. From then on Sophie and Josh get involved putting themselves in danger.

And the story kicks off.

Mystery and wonder on every page. The alternating P.O.V leave you hanging sometimes. Some is right about to happen when BAM P.O.V change. I'd be focused on something lets say Nicholas Flamel would be doing, then it switches to Sophie's or Josh's P.O.V and then you just wonder what exactly Nicholas Flamel is doing.

An author's note at the end of the book fills you in on who Nicholas Flamel was and who John Dee was. And that everything said about them in the book was true and the only main characters that were made up were Sophie and Josh. Other than that it's completely historical fiction.

It was a great story and a great ending. I cannot wait to go hunting for THE MAGICIAN the companion book to this one.
